Severstal’s flat roll steel mill in Columbus, Mississippi needed a solution that would provide continuous high volume ventilation in all weather conditions to deal with the heat and fumes generated by its production process.
Moffitt Corporation stepped in and developed a solution with Colt Labyrinth natural louvered extract ventilators. Having shown its effectiveness with a Computational Fluid Dynamics study, Moffitt proceeded with the installation of a ventilation system comprising 16 Labyrinth units and covering over 4,450 sq feet (413 m²). Severstal workers can now enjoy comfortable working conditions in all weathers.
